Default Orchid Humidifier

Evening All,

Well I know all of you with the Eagle Eyes will have noticed that this is a very beautiful Otter Waterfall.

I have listed it in my Tax Receipt book as an Orchid Humidifier.

It is in amongst the Orchids I have on display and it does provide a source of moving water (and still) which will raise the general humidity around the orchids by at least a few degrees on my hygrometer.

Much prettier than a static bowl of water with the hopes that some evaporation might take place. Hee heee

You're near water (the Mersey) in the UK. I would think you don't need added humidity. When I went there, I was soggy from the time I stepped of the plane at LHR all the way to the Scottish Highlands.

I wondered about using something like that in my greenhouse. Much prettier than a humidifier and I'm sure moving water must help increase humidity.

I've not actually found the need for raised humidity for Phals in the UK, unless your house is particularly dry.
