I have come to love NOID orchids, I think it's because I'm a beginner myself. They're tolerant and understanding of our mishaps! I have a few NOID Phals and a NOID Den that I am just hoping they come back for me next year...they could rival any species orchid!

I'm still at a point in my orchid growing career where I kill dendrobiums now and then, but for the most part I'm now able to keep my NOID phals alive. For the most part..until I get crazy ideas like mounting them and such...you can kinda see them cringe the moment I walk into the greenhouse with a piece of wood in one hand and wire in the other. But they say you need to kill at least a hundred orchids before you can call yourself an expert....

I don't know what it is about Phals. I no longer kill them, but they are not exactly the epitome of health under my care. Paphs, even multi-floral, which have a rep for being finicky, no problem. But, for some reason Phals are a real challenge for me.

We all have 'our' orchids, I suppose. Those that work and those that just doesn't. I'm the oncidium killer. What can I say...? At least you don't kill phals, they're just not super-happy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I suspect plant would look miserable after a trip over the Atlantic. Lets do it! If this is what sunburn and dog bites do to it, some air freight might just produce a Christmas tree full of flowers!
Ps, suspect this is an unintentional lucky mix with the perfect amount of Kelpak. Not enough for it to be completely messed up, but enough for it to go into some kind of branching overdrive mode.

It really is a wonderful, beautiful display of flowers!! Thank You for sharing them w/ us!! I'll be looking forward to seeing that Christmas tree full of flowers now! Heheheh... No pressure
We should start a club.... Yep, I'm an Oncidium killer too..... Phals, I'm great with... Dendrobiums, so far I've only tried one, I just got it a couple months ago, at the beginning of the summer... and it's thriving, finishing up its second cane - with roots everywhere!! But, Oncidiums?.....Ha! They're doomed the minute I pick them up
