Good afternoon, all.

Despite the fact that I ended up on my beallara's bad side by putting it in new medium and thus forcing it to decide it doesn't like its pbulbs anymore, I went to water it this morning and found a new growth on it.

I am just about over the moon because this plant has been sulking for the last two weeks and I was getting very worried that it might just up and die to spite me.

As I've never had one of these types before, can anyone tell me exactly what it is I'm seeing? Sorry for the pics, the growth is very tiny.

Thanks!

^+1 Yep, new growth! Congrats!! That's the beauty of repotting in the spring/early summer, it has time to grow before slowing down in the fall

Yayyy! Perhaps it won't die to spite me after all! I guess it likes its new home in our bedroom where there's more sunlight for it.

About how long does it take them to grow their pbulbs? And where do these guys spike from?

Not sure how long it will take... I would think by autumn, but I'm not as familiar with these types as I am with my Phal species (& primary hybrids). But, I do know, that it should flower from the newest PB's after they are mature, which would prob be in the spring... But I'm sorta guessing, so if anyone has a different opinion on this, I'd listen to them!

And yes, I think they generally do like a little more light than say, most complex phal hybrids. Good Growing Girl!

Generally several months for the new growth to mature.
