Thanks, I am going to try the new method of watering in the morning. Unfortunately, I do not have a reverse osmosis sytem... but perhaps someday! At least I do not have to use a water softener, though. I'm going to try using bamboo skewers to see if it will show if the medium is moist. I doubt it as it has been a week since I watered and the weather is drying up here. I'm wondering about the temperature they're exposed to right now. I get cold easily and maybe the orchids do too!

Angela, could you post a picture? Yellowing leaves can also be a symptom of sunburn.
I'm a little weary of store-bought orchid mixes...had the same mix as you at one point and almost whipped out all my orchids that were planted in it.
You mentioned bamboo skewers to check humidity? How is this working so far? I know there is a new Momet Water Sensor out there specifically for orchids, I think they had it at Orchids Limited?
Anyhoo, a would be absolutely wonderful to help pin-point a more specific cause.
