Thanks Philip! The roots seem pretty healthy from when I repotted it, and I just used this pot because it was what I had laying around. I will be sure to move it into a smaller container soon. It was just so root bound when I removed it, I felt like that might have been part of the problem.
I know orchids like to be a little root bound... but how do you know when a little become to much? And I was very surprised to find that there is no content around this orchid in the forum... lots of other orchids, but nothing really about Phaius!
