I moved 2 weeks ago from South NJ to the Lehigh Valley PA. I don't think temperatures and humidity are going to be that different. I don't have a covered porch anymore and I have all my 'chids huddled in a corner under a lilac (I think) bush so they don't get direct sun. The deck gets full sun from noon til night. The front area gets direct morning sun. I prefer the deck for convenience and accessibility, so what is the best shelving/shading I could use? It cant be hideous because of the HOA. I will attach photos of the state of my plants (post-vacation varmint damage and fresh sun burns included), I'm not proud of the damage but they're thriving despite me!

The phals are all rescues (except the one w/ new spike forming, which appeared while I was away ), and have thrived since I left on vacation. They were rootless and now have roots and new leaves!

My dendro spectabile is just sitting in limbo...no changes for the better or worse, so I don't know what to do with it (if anything).

Cattleya has new growth and my noid dendros (one stalk separated from the root mass on it's own so I repotted) both have new growth and are thriving!

2 of my onc hybrids have new growth and the 3rd is just hanging out for now.

The Anacheilium Cochleatum has a new growth too!

They all seem fairly happy, I just want them up off the ground in an organized manner that suits them!

My new vanda from Parkside. We went to the summer fest this morning. Amazing plants from all the vendors!

I'm going to put this on my front windowsill. Morning light. Parkside had it in a bright, dryer greenhouse, so that's why I chose it
