It is normal to have new leaves develop from the "crown" after a fan has flowered.

Here is the late bloomer, 4 to 6 weeks after the others.


I saw some flowering at a show last September.

Thanks everyone for putting me on the right track! If I don't get spikes soon, there is always next year. Hope springs eternal.....
