Psychopsis Mendenhall 'Hildos' flower
It's the only thing flowering for me at this time. It is a first blooming and the spike is 28 inches high.

It's just beautiful! I LOVE this flower because to me...it's quite different and reminds me of Preditor for some reason! Thanks for sharing it! You did a great job!

Very beautiful and, from what I have read, the first of a long line of flowers from that spike. I bought a just hardened, out-of-flask seedling a few years ago of 'Hildos' for the leaves as well as the future flower. I really look forward to my first bloom!

Thanks for the compliments! Yes, it is different, that's why I had to have one. I always think of it as a Alien, but yes, Preditor fits too.

Just curious...how long does the bloom typically last on psychopsis'? Mine didn't seem to hold it's flower for long a month maybe. It could have been the weather it was very humid and hot. By the way beautiful!
