My phal successfully gone through first winter. But it was not as cold as previous one, that winter temperature in home fell down to 14 degrees celsius. What should I do if this happens this winter?
I think the best thing for you to to would be to bring your phal indoors. I hope it is only the one you have because if it's 90 then that could be more of a problemo!!
I think just to nurture them indoors would take all the worry of low temps away.
Most phalaenopsis will be OK down to about 10 degrees - mine all make it through winter with my heaters set to come on when the temperature reaches 10.
Lorna, it is 13°C indoors. Outside it can be -35°C. Yeah, only one. Well, two now, potted a keiki from first one recently
Discus, I wanted to know if you need special care, like no watering etc.
You will almost always still need to water your phal APV. A lot less watering than in the warm weather, try to know the signs and watch it carefully. A little drink and a whole lotta Love My Friend.
