Awesome set up. Mine live on my patio in summer and then they get hauled back in. I'll take 2.5 months any day

That's bummer, no balcony, otherwise you could really have some gorgeous balcony display pretty much from late may till september for sure, some even longer:-( plus it would help them bloom and grow like crazy. Next time buy the apartment with balcony like we did, i was planning this secretly since beginning, without my partner knowing it even:-))))))

I was really vying for one with a balcony in a location that I just LOVED (their sister complex had an actual greenhouse porch!!!), but unfortunately there was a waitlist and we didn't get it in time for our moveout, so we had to take the current place. I am hoping that from here we will go to an actual HOUSE, in which case you can be damn sure I'll be hanging my guys up in baskets, putting them outside, and building a porch or deck if there isn't one by the time we get there. O_O!

Yeap, I am extremely sure that 90% was my over watering fault, stupid me, I think that at my balcony they do not need as much watering as I think, I wish it was only one, but it was quite a few phals - so funny, easiest to grow, but hate over watering - and some small cattleyas, plus cymbidiums, quite a few, they were all doing fine for a years and than they just did give up that crazy water amount. but i did learn from my mistakes, i hope:-)

Yes Tommy Jackson is a beautiful place but way to many people for me. I like to stay far away from there. I'm a bit of a loner and so is dear hubby just us and our many dogs in the Big Horn Mountains, now that's heaven.
But to many people up there in the summer as well

I hear you, and true true, I heard from locals there is only between 200-400K visitors in Jackson for winter skiing, but between 2-4 million for summer, that is absolutely insane. We never come in summer time, even it would be absolutely amazing for me - i also love to take pics as my second hobby - so we always come either very early spring - May - or fall and winter time:-)
