Default Lowes Bag Baby...

So when I went to BB Barns looking for another Cattleya, only found named phals on clearance sell, so I went to lowes, found a Cattleya bag baby, roots extremely dried out. 'Waianae Leopard 'Ching-Hua'...

& at BB Barns - a Dtps. K.V Charmer

Good luck with your bag baby, I found a few catts at lowes in the bag and have had good luck with them growing.

I have found some very nice babies in bags at the Lowes over here where I recently moved to. All but one are doing quite nicely, and the one that isn't is still plodding along like the little engine that could, lol. I'm excited to see how they do.

Your little engine may just need a little more time to kick in and grow

I just ordered some kelpmax from Ray in an effort to try to help my babies along. They don't really seem to like the fertilizer I am using for them and I have not been super impressed or noticed a difference, so I'm going to try something new. I am hoping it will help them all, especially my little engine. He's throwing out a new shoot and some new roots, he's just really, REALLY slow compared to the others, haha!

I quite honestly have no idea, these are the only cattleyas I've ever had and I've only had them for a couple months. That said, I don't think so, because out of my three, only that one is sluggish. The rest are partying! Their shoots are huge, they have TONS of new roots going, and they look like they're going to climb out of their pots and walk off...and then my poor little Blc is over there desperately trying to play on the big kids league with the others and has a tiny nub of a shoot and only a few little roots.

It may just be that particular type of plant, too..genetics and such. I am still learning..^^;

At present I've got an Lc. Fire Dance 'Patricia', an Eplc. Golden Sunburst and a Blc. Taeko Tamaki...but your Blc. looks much healthier than mine. He came to me pretty dehydrated and has sort of stayed limp as far as pbulbs go. He has a new one that is nice and firm and smooth and standing upright..and the rest are just kind of squat and wrinkled lol. I am hoping the new growth will help stabilize the plant. Yours is in much better condition. I didn't know he was floppy until I unbagged mine, so..xD
