Default Living in a Jungle

Every one tells a story. I can remember where I bought it, who gave it to me, if it was one of my Mum's and if it's grown a spike under my care or gone mad growing roots.

Why do each of the seem so individual? I can recognise each as I pick them up and I know what to examine first. Is it the leaves, the roots the new spike, the flowers, the dryness?

Does it want a drink or a feed or even a Mayo Butty!!

I am just gad I am able to keep them confined in my small flat and keep them semi-tidy. People are taken aback when they're seen for the first time. Well 27 Orchids are a lot for one window!!

OK ~ My name is Lorna and I'm an Orchid Addict!

Looks great! "Jungle" is the word people use to describe my living room too. And then they tell me how beautiful it is and how much they love it! It's always so nice when people enjoy it the way we do :-)

I hope you don't mind that I just pointed at this picture and said to my fiance, "See, at least I don't have 27...you could at least let me round out to 10..!"

(He says for every new one I get I have to get rid of one. He's crazy. I just sort of buy mini ones and sneak them into the kitchen window under the curtains where he won't look for now....)

Your 'chids are gorgeous! I like how happy they all are!

Aawww Fank U Everyone. I have had comments at home like "Oh Why don't you sell some!?" and "There's no room left for you!"

How could we sell our companions?

I won't buy any more, I mean enough is enough, oh then I did yesterday. I bought the Nun's Orchid!

Silly Me!!

My fiance says that for me. He says they outnumber us, lol...which, they do...but I keep saying they are doing wonders for the air quality and make our house pretty. XD

Mostly I grab them when he's not home...orrrrrr I wait a long time and then suddenly buy several....or I just give him puppy eyes every now and then and it works...I have plenty of window sill room at our new house, so I keep trying to justify getting more...=3

I think that all of us insist we won't buy more and then do...it's the best addiction ever.

Looking really good Launa.

I know what you mean about knowing each one and seeing them all as individuals. I'm still like that with mine. I don't have that many in one window but all around the house welll that's another matter.
