WHERE TO BUY NUN'S ORCHID
Hi everyone, again
First of all, thank you for all the help with my previous questions, I truly appreciate. I have another question, i did research what orchids are best fro South Florida, and I found this amazing orchid, called NUN'S ORCHID, that is terrestrial to us, and it looks absolutely amazing! I do want to get this piece, especially when I know it will thrive in my balcony, but I can't find seller, and I have never seen it for sale anywhere. Any ideas???

Hi there Tommymiami,
I just been looking to find someone who sells the Nun's Orchid and I can't find a seller either.
Having had a look at many pages, this truly is a brill Orchid isn't it? I want one myself now I've seen it.
I'll keep looking out for one, mind you, I don't suppose it will do so well in Good Old England. You think it would stand a chance? I mean indoors in my hot flat??

Lorna, is it really difficult to get this in EU? It's not a rare species (at least in the US). Importing orchids are fairly costly, and it may not worth it unless you are going to spend a couple thousands euros! If it is rare in EU, you might look for international vendors visiting orchid shows in EU. You can frequently "pre-order" plants, and they will ship it for you once they bring it into EU.

I have ordered it now thank you Naoki. Thanks to your help that is.
I just ordered it and they had a section in the checkout process for orders outside the USA so it should all go through fine.
I do appreciate your help because I did Google it and looked for suppliers before you gave me that one. I even sent off to my supplier in Malaysia.
So I am very grateful. I have added you to my friends list too.
Huggies.

Hi Lorna, first of all, I am so happy for you that you DID FIND someone who will ship it to UK. I did some huge research yesterday as well, and found this article:
Hey Sister! Get A Nun’s Orchid! – The Daily South | Your Hub for Southern Culture
In which on the bottom there is link for seller, he is here in Florida, unfortunately the west coast, but it seems like they do ship, so I will contact them today and get one as well, i HOPE. From the article and other research about this amazing piece I do understand it LOVES HOT weather, (so refreshing to finally find orchid great for our hot Miami), but it also grows in regular soil, so the care is more like for regular potted inside or outside plant. I am pretty sure with some careful care you can have success in UK. I would keep it inside most of the year, in warm place with humidity around 70 percent, and for summer time in England, I would take it outside for sure. It likes bright light, but not direct sun. Keep me posted when you receive yours, and if you can take some pics, I will let you know when I get mine.

Thanks so much for help and link, I am very happy it did help Lorna and she was able to order it with international shipping. I will wait for the answer from the seller in Florida that I found and if not there I will definitely use your link. I did promise myself yesterday after purchasing 14 new orchids during the weekend on ebay that I will not buy another one for some time, but than I did see this one and I must have it, especially because it will do so good in Florida:-)

PEN PALS
Oh Cool Mister Tommy . We'll be more like PenPals now. YIPPEE!!!!
I certainly will let you know when it arrives. Normal things take a full week, but then it depends on how fast they send it.
I will let you know and thank you for showing this to me today in the first place.
I appreciate it.
