Those are really cool looking orchids. Maybe I'll put that on my wish list I have to go one step at a time.

OOOHHH NOOOOOO!!!!
Oh Woe is Me.
Tommy, Look at this e-mail I just received. It says . . .
"Dear Lorna
Sorry, your order is too small to ship overseas. See below
Our minimum order is $500.00. All plants are
shipped bare root."
Oh I can't have my Nun's Orchid after all. Maybe it's a 'meant to be' thing. But . . . Mister Tommy . . . could I . . . if I am very good . . . May I be the Godmother to yours instead? Pretty Please.
Lorna

Hi Lorna
and so sorry to hear, that's truly a bummer:-( Of course you can be Godmother, plus I have 2 on the way, different colors, as the seller said, the yellow one has not such a long spikes, however blooms even 3x a year, and than that gorgeous burgundy one. I will take pics when they arrive. Wow Wow Wow, $500 minimum order is pretty high, must say. I do own shipping company here in Florida, we are personal shoppers/package forwarders from the USA worldwide, shipping with DHL and USPS, but i know there are hard restrictions on shipping commercial anything live, like plants, so I do not think we can assist you, even I would love to help:-(

You might want to check with EFG Orchids in Deland, Fl. George always has them for our Boca Show in Feb. so I would expect he has them other times although not in bloom. He has had some very nice hybrids. I don't know his show schedule for the rest of the year. I would think that one of the nurseries in Homestead would have them too.

Hi Godmother, so 2 babies arrived today, together with my other 10 orchids. I must say, all other orchids, coming from Hawaii and Ohio arrived in perfect condition, but my 2 nun's shipped by seller from Tampa, only 4 hours drive, came horribly pocked. These would NEVER make it to UK. Horrible seller, never ever again, she put them into huge box, loose, and filled it only halfway with popcorn, so you can imagine, leaves broken, and soil all over the plants and box. I have never received orchids in this condition, but order was done over the phone, so not even feedback possible to leave:-( However, after 6 hours at the balcony re potting and reorganizing I found them new home. They are big Lorna! Can't wait for them to bloom, will send you pictures of course.

Adopted Plants
WOW!! They are Big Babies Tommy. Thank you ever so much for the photos.
What a mess they arrived in tho. That's pretty bad. I was amazed reading your message. At least you can let your family here know not to go there for plants. Consider it Community Feedback which is far less widespread than public feedback on her site would have been.
Glad you have got them now. They will have a good life with you and you will look after them very well. Looking forward to watching their development in future. Never had an adoptee plant or two before.
Huggies to you,
Lorna

I will keep you posted for sure. I did receive 3 boxes yesterday, one plant is coming today, 2 more on Friday, and next week I drive to west coast of Florida to pick up my so wanted clamshell orchid:-) and i think that for no I AM REALLY SET, i do this pretty much every summer, go crazy nuts overboard and buy around 20 new plants, re organize balcony, and than watch them grow and bloom:-) The more I learn, the more I want:-)))))) I hope you will get one of these sometimes in the future as well.

So I could not let it go, and send seller just one text message, thanking her for fast shipping, however bad packing, not really asking for anything, I wrote to her next time make sure you do tape orchid inside the box and fill it full with popcorn, so this would not happen to others. Shortly after she called me back, apologized, real sweet, and said this was her first complain ever - hard to believe if she could sent the package like this. Anyway, the result was her offer to send me one more NUN free of charge, only for me to pay extra shipping for that one piece. So i did say, it all depends on you, if you wish to send one, than send one, of no, than no. Will see next week, but the third one will be for my friend, same orchid freak, she has over 100 pieces in her garden at Key West, and no Nun. Sorry Lorna, I wish I could ship it to you, of course better packed, but I did even contact DHL and asked about shipping to UK and we would have to get some paperwork prior to shipping, which seems extremely costly on the top of the shipping that would be already pricy:-((( I really did think of you first, I would sent it in a heartbeat to make you happy:-)
