Thank you, butterfly_muse.
Humidifier is a good idea. I put the plant up on a glass shelf by a west facing window. I read that east window is ideal but unfortunately there isn't one in my apartment. The orchid doesn't catch direct sunlight but the room temperature is high in the afternoon. It can reach up to 85-90 even with the air conditioning on. With the heat and dryness, I may need to mist it. My concern is that I have another orchid that suffers from crown rot and some degree of root rot, so I'm afraid of getting any water onto the foliage anymore. I'm wondering how people control the mist to only moist the aerial roots but stay away from foliage? It seem to me that water can get to the crown easily by mist or spray.

I also have the problem of solely west facing windows in my apartment. I have lost some orchids since moving because of it, and I'm still adjusting my remaining phals to that....so since my guys aren't adjusted yet, I am hesitant to say anything further, lol.

All the growers on here make it look so easy. XD

Not sure on those I'm afraid. I think I would just keep an eye on what they do for now.
