Trading plants, and locals... Male
Default Trading plants, and locals...

So, somehow, I now have something like 130 plants. I ordered some from Hawaii and got some interesting stuff, and a local place is closing soon so I went and got everything I was interested there while I still could. And, And, And....

Now I have some large plants that will need to be divided when they are done with spikes, and a couple plants I have more than one of that I could trade for something I don't have.

I don't want this to be a money thing or business item, so if I can avoid it, I don't want to get into selling things on ebay. I'd rather trade special things for special things, with people who appreciate it the way I do.

So, I don't really know how connections on here are made to do this kind of thing, so I'm just putting this out there.

I'm mostly all Paph's and Phrags. A few Psychopsis. A few Masdies. Not really interested in much else, for growing at least. I have some Miltonia and Phal's but I don't invest time in them.

I am in the city of San Francisco, so any locals that would be interested in trading things would be a good start. I'm not opposed to mailing things either, if people are honest and the trust goes both ways.

Thanks all.

Trading's a great way to get and share pieces of special plants, also always nice to have 'backup copies' of ones you love out there...

I've only done a little trading here and on other forums, but it seems like it's often initiated either by someone posting a list of what they have to trade and/or what they're looking for, or else through PMs between individual members.

Trust is definitely key, but it seems like for the most part people are honest and want to make trading partners happy.

I would definitely be interested, but I do not have anything to trade orchid-wise. I am currently rebuilding a computer so if you need old computer parts.... lol

Maybe some time in the future! I'm a tech guy myself so I already have too many computer parts :-) Best to you!
