I'm adding a picture here. I mentioned my monster phal in a comment above.

Sorry about the poor quality, but I decided to just snap a quick one while I did the morning inspection in the greenhouse.

I need to take this plant out of the greenhouse, clean the leaves for lime deposits and have a proper photo session to document it, but I'm waiting until more flowers have opened up.

The spikes are still developing, but at the moment I can count more than 60 defined buds.

This is NOID phal bought at the supermarket for roughly 15 U$ (which is on the cheap side here in Namibia). I've had the plant for two years and this is the second re-bloom. I've got no idea what I've done to it to make it produce all these flowers, but I'm not complaining.

My personal record is 36 blooms. I moved my phals outside (to die) because I was having space issues inside, and this one ended up growing two spikes. I actually broke off the main stem on the second spike, so I probably would have had closer to 50 blooms had I not been so clumsy. Most of the leaves are stretched due to prolonged low light levels, so I wasn't expecting blooms at all.

When I first got this mini it only has a single spike with 6 blooms. It was only a baby then.

Not my most floriferous but the only one with flowers right now. I have one putting out double spikes right now. Here's my white noid.

seaj that would look awesome in a low wide flat Japanese bonsai pot. Very oriental looking. Windblown style. Very nice.

I was thinking along the same lines. Spikes that aren't staked can look so graceful, though it does make the plant more bulky. Another one of my NoIDs is 20 inches across with a blooms that protrude 28 inches straight forward from the edge of its pot. It's not fun to deal with at all.

This is a picture from last year, she had even more flowers and bloomed for over 6 months... Sadly, she is growing a terminal spike at the moment, and I am very sad because of that... But it is one huge, beautiful Phal and I am hoping for some keiki
