Default I got a fever...

and the only cure is....MORE orchids! hah! Well i found this beauty at my local grocery store. I have noticed them increasing the qaulity of the orchids they receive and very few of them have serious issues anymore. Other than some much needed root trimming and mechanical damage I dont see anything else wrong with him. I seriously have an illness, and this guy is the only cure :-)

it is interesting to see the color difference when taking photos underneath flourescent and natural lighting...the color is really blueish/purple, not reddish/purple

Very nice!

I can't even allow myself to look at orchids in stores ... just busted my budget at SJ Orchid Expo, as well as being quite tight on space

I know, I held strong for about a month, but the colors on this one was just different than what I usually see. Plus the good roots and it's in bark pretty much sealed the deal

What did you get at the Expo? You can always make more room you know...

It's very nice! Can't fault you for being weak

I got several small Vandaceous species, the exception to "small" is the Vanda coerulea - not a huge plant, but bigger than the others, and a dwarf Catt alliance species.

I'm trying to figure out where everyone will go in winter .

Need to start finding homes for a few divisions (gonna have more divisions after doing more repotting)

I would have snapped that up in a second, it looks very different from anything I can find at a grocery store..

I have seen that phal a few times at grocery stores as well. Unfortunately, ones I saw were all bruised or torn here and there.

Congrats on this great find!
Beautiful flowers in good shape

My Golden Beauty blasted too many buds, so I replaced it with something else.
I don't think I will ever get Golden Beauty again.

I seem to have the same 'sickness' only I go for getting them after they've bloomed. Today in bi-Lo's the florist had cut the flowers off to use in a flower arrangement to sell, i asked for a discount for the plant it was in really great shape.
