Hello my name Majid from UAE just signed in this great site.

My problem is that my orchid spike was broken during watering and I had to cut it above 3 nodes. The plant became weak and a new leaf started dropping what to do shall I cut the spike from the bottom?

I don't want to lose my orchid had it since 2009 and it was my first 1

I will be traveling after 2 days so I might not be able to read the answers

Thanks

Welcome to the orchids board! I am assuming that you have a phaleanopsis, but do post a picture when you are able (after 5 posts). Have you checked your orchid's roots? Often phals are in a plastic pot (sometimes inside another pot) and you can see the roots to check on their health. They should be white/silvery or green. Brown indicates root rot. Also make sure that your plant is not sitting in water. Since orchids are (generally) epiphytic (means that they grow in air and take no nourishment from their "host"), the roots must have air. Sitting in water is the surest way to root rot! Also make sure that the medium dries, almost compelled before you water it again.

Many times, a Phal spike will continue to grow after being broken. It will start to grow from one of the nodes. So don't give up hope!

Yes, you certainly have a beautiful Phal!! I think the leaf u were referring to, was just old, sometimes they drop old leaves... As long as it yellows from the tip of the leaf, inward, u are ok And, broken spikes happen, it will grow back when it feels like it

What I can see of your phal tells me it needs more water. The bark mix it is in is good but the phals dries out a little too much. The plant looks a little dehydrated and that may be why the leaf is drooping. When the plant is hydrated properly it will produce another spike from the first flower node from the bottom. Give it time.
