Is this common? it looks like a short spike or 2-3 buds coming out from the base of the current blooming flower. It doesn't look like my other plant with a secondary spike, where the buds emerge from the sheaths...it's just throwing out at least 2 buds right off the base of the flower. I'll post a photo tomorrow, but it's just a NOID phal...if it helps.

This is normal as your buds are coming from the short remaining spike. Nothing to worry about!
