Update on Thrips Female
Smile Update on Thrips

About a month ago, I posted asking for help identifying and killing the "fast moving tiny insect." Thank for helping identify and suggesting ways to kill the thrips! I didn't want to use any harsh chemicals. I wound up using a home remedy solution from First Ray's website. Thanks Ray!

I used 1 tsp cooking oil, 1 tsp dishwashing soap, 1 qt of water and shook well before using. I sprayed the orchids all over every 3 days for 2 weeks in the mornings so they wouldn't be wet overnight. I also kept it out of direct sunlight until it dried completely.

All the thrips are gone! It also turned out a new phal had a little scale problem but the solution killed them too!

Congratulations! Thrips can do a lot of damage and you don't even know you have them until it's too late.

Wow~ sounds amazing!
I should try that on my African violet flowers, which always come heavily loaded with thrips.
