I'm curious why you want to put a Psychopsis outside? Are you trying to get it to do something that it is not currently?
Always
Growing faster, better, prettier flowers.
So far it has a spike, not opened yet, and 2 leaves a bit chewed up ( from the store ). Would not mind getting a fresh new growth.
Only way I can confirm it's doing good is by seeing new growths.
Just before Memorial day weekend, I put all my Vandas outside the fire escape then it rained last Thursday....they are just a happy camper.

your coccinea will be fine all summer long outdoors in your grow zone, just make sure it is not drenched too much with winds and rains(just be faithful to its culture and always remember the weather and temperatures of where it originally came from=the coastal regions of northern Brazil=and be guided by it)....place it where there is an awning
