azredsand, if you end up watering much more than once a week, make sure you use water that is very low in salts. Every time the water dries out, it leaves behind the sdalts as deposits that are left on the roots as well as the media. This will cause some serious root issues as time goes by. Issues like stunted growth, burned root tips, poor uptake of nutrients and water. So use RO water or at least flush every third or fourth watering. You can get RO water from the machines in front of most grocery stores.

Will do!! James thanks for the info! Do you think that I can water with reg. tap water and then flush with R/O water every 3rd watering?

You could try it and see if it helps. but it doesn't take long for the salts to build up on the roots and media. See if it helps.
