Default Thinking about buying a monkey orchid

Hi,

Im thinking about buying a Dracula erythrochaete (monkey orchid), however, it'll be shipped from CA to Canada (BC), and as such I'll need a phyto sanitary certificate (which is expensive). It'll be sent bareroot, and as such I thought I could mount it to a log or 2x4 or something, add some spag around the roots and base, and put a cold mist humdifier below it to ensure the high humidity (80-90%) required. I live in Vancouver BC so the outside humidity can get very high at times (and I usually leave my windows open) so I hope my humdity now is ok for my phals.

What are your thoughts? Think it'll do well enough to bloom? Not worth the expensive risk (probably 150 + newhumidifier)?

Growing Draculas mounted might be tough. They like quite a bit of consistent moisture.

You might want to grow it in a basket.
