new Collection-database application

Since we've firmly diverted from the original post...

I would like access to the information on OW but its just cost prohibitive for many of us. Our collection isn't large or diverse enough to warrant spending $300 (even with a 20% discounts). If they made the taxo/culture info available online/web-based through a membership or per use fee, I'd consider it.

As for the orchid journal/diary app, I have a folder with a doc, spreadsheet, lots of pics. I'm not OCD when it comes to orchid records but an app that does most of the work would be handy.

Currently a Mac user but I seem to switch platforms every 2-3 devices.

This program is an .EXE file(all windows versions), so it won't run on apple unless you have a windows emulator (I believe they can be downloaded for free). I'm not sure about Tablets. Android does not seem to be able to run .exe files.

perhaps in some time i can take a look at Android or mac programming. But the first step is finishing the program that i have now. when it is done, i'll find a way of distributing the file for free around the web.

i will keep you updated when i continue working on the program.
