First named orchid!!!
So after a few years of messing around with untagged Phal's, I finally bought a "for realz" orchid! My husband brought me to Porter's green house to celebrate my graduation from nursing school. Walked in and talked to Bill. (by the way, he is the nicest guy ever!) I've stopped in there once before as I literally live 3 miles away, but never bought anything because money's been a little short these last few years. So....*drumroll* he picked out one of his Paph's "Magic lantern". He even found me one that's got the start to a flower!!! It's one of his crosses. I feel so special!! Now I just have to try and not kill it. It's so cute with it's variegated leaves. It's right in the middle of my shelf in a place of honor! (sorry mom's rescue orchid, you got booted off the shelf)
