I bought this phalaenopsis off the clearance rack at Lowes. It's leaves didn't look good but I thought I could save it. But recently a leaf turned brown. I dug around in the moss it was planted in and could see some roots were rotten. So I took it out of the pot and all the roots were rotten. There never were any aerial roots. I thought those would come in time. I don't know much about orchids and I'm really scared it's going to die. Please help! Can i still save this poor orchid?
suspend it in a glass over some water, with a plastic bag on top (that's the simplified process I got from a sphag & bag suggestion?) -- it should encourage some root growth if there's any life left in it
