If you want a true color Use a daylight balanced flash. I have trouble with my colors too. In a shaded position the blooms pick up the blue of the skylight. Outside in sunlight they pick up the reflected colors in the surroundings. Or inside they pick up the color balance of whatever lighting you are using. And the camera also doesn't know what color the flowers really are so it makes computed assumptions which are not very accurate. A lot of folks tweak their pics to get the colors right.

Thanks! The credit for the blooms go to the greenhouse I recently bought the plant from.
Currently I have it a few feet back from an east facing window with a humidifier running and a fan blowing to keep things cooler. It seems pretty content so far, we'll see how things go....

I was going to ask about the growing condition but the title is rather misleading then. lol
I have a miltoniopsis Hawaiian Swtizer "Red" which is almost identical to Bert Field, except the flower size is a bit smaller.
Beautiful flowers and nice color!
Enjoy~

Ha ha! I had a hard time trying to figure how to word things. I meant that I assumed it has previously bloomed prior to my ownership of it.
This is definitely my current favorite orchid. I do hope I can manage keeping it nice and healthy. What are your conditions for your Miltoniopsis? Is it doing well?
