Well, you know what rumors there are regarding miltoniopsis. they hate heat, they are cool growers, they will die easily.

Those were all one of those BS circulating around without any proof. lol

I always loved their unique flowers but never bought any because of the false informations I read about them.

Well, I took the plunge and went miltoniopsis bonanza when I found a cheaper source last spring.

I tossed most of them common ones, but I did keep a few just to see how heat tolerant they would be.

I have to say they are just like any other orchids I grow. They tend to grow very slowly though.
Other than that, they throw lots of new growths and do very well.
Oh, another thing, they are very sensitive to watering. Do not dry them. I did dry a bit too much and they suffered big time!

I think if you can master the watering for these, they will reward you with amazing flower show in the spring time.

I give good light, more than phals, temp is around 80-70 day 70 or a little lower at night during winter. summer, well, it gets really hot here. lol

These are hybrids so they are supposed be a lot sturdier plants than many people wrongly believe.

of course, some hybrids might be a bit more sensitive.
