That is a beautiful flower and possess a lovely fragrance! I have that plant and it is still in bloom.
Kip is right just follow the Cattleya culture and you will be set....you also live in a grow zone where you can grow your plant outdoors.
The only advice that I can give is don't be discouraged when this one dies. I've learned that orchid care is all about independent research and trial and error. The good news is that once you've mastered the hobby, the joys are endless. Best of luck to you!
