Well I have to say I have not encountered an Ice method survivor. Most just put the ice in the middle and the whole thing rots from the middle.

why put the ice in the middle? I don't even put the ice on top of the roots, I put it on the area where the bark shows. I'm going to try soaking it once a week for 15 minutes, to see how that works-
