Introducing my Dtps. Tzu Chiang Sapphire and Sedirea japonica 'Seigyoku Maru'! Both of them arrived this past week and it is all Buds fault! Sorry for the very bad pictures, I'm a no-talent with a camera. The Dtps. is cared for like a Phal.? The Sedirea is a mini. It is sooo cute, fragrant and from Orchid Web. At japaneseorchids I was outbid every time.
There is a Bamboo stick in the pot - the moisture meter? Do I water when the stick is dry? Almost dry? When it needs water, do I run water over the moss or do I spray it? Help, help HELP PLEASE!
Without further ado - ta-da, drumroll:
Oh, and the Sapphire is from Kawamoto orchids.
I love them both, I'm a happy camper!

That is one big pile of sphag!

I am super jealous, those are very lovely additions :-) I'm sure the others more experienced than I will chime in as far as your questions go.

Thank you escualida!

Dendy83, I was jealous too when Bud posted pictures of his Dtps. and Sedirea. I cured my jealousy by searching for and buying identical orchids. Well, the Sedirea is not quite identical, but close enough. Now I have to stop buying orchids, I am out of space.

Love the colour of that Dtps. I believe they are now all classed as Phals and they take the same care. The Sedirea japonica is cute!

For the Sederea, culture is similar to Phals with a little bit more light needed.

butterfly muse and NYCorchidman, Kawamotoorchids still has some!
My rack is full as well, if I want to get another orchid or two, I'll have to give away some. *sigh*

I went there and I looked and I whimpered. Friday is my last day at work for 6 weeks (I have to do a field school for summer semester), so I just can't right now. But I definitely pinned it on Pinterest so I wouldn't forget. I will buy one as a wedding present to myself <_<
