This is a basel keiki which generally you won't want to separate from the parent. Sometimes keikis form on the spike and these can be separated, but other times like this they form at the base and those are generally left on.

just some progress of the seed pods.... looks like a 2nd is forming
(possibly a 3rd... we'll see if at least one is successful )

....and sadly... i was nice enough to cut of a fresh bloom for someones school dance......... it broke me.

on the bright side... (still really sad tho.... ) the nutrients can head to the keiki and pods.

still pretty damn sad though.

Thanks Rosie,

Yes i had realized what i was saying before and had already realized i couldn't separate it. My mind the last week has been on a really crazy schedule.

Thanks again.

Seed pod update pics along with keiki update and this week.... i update medium to the leca... (I'm excited)

Should i wait until the seed pods are finished to transfer to the leca? or will they be fine being re-potted and fertilized? (bc it isnt bark?...)

thanks all

Looking good. I would wait until the pods ripen before moving it to LECA. You'll stress it out too much if you do it now.

relax....there are so many things going on with your plant at the moment and I suggest do not fuss over it so much; repotting it on LECA is just another extra thing that it doesn't want to deal with at the moment=it will need energy to adjust and get used to the LECA while all it is focusing on at the moment is to give energy for the pod and the keiki....just continue the care you are giving it and good luck
