Can you try and post the image again?
I do not see the image but I do see "securedownload-1.jped...or is it just me???

Anyway, I love nobiles and I can help you better if I could see your plant.

Wrinkled canes usually mean underwatering. Have you been watering enough?
Another possiblity is you watered too much and killed the roots, hence plants cannot take up water and show the symtom of dehydration showing up as wrinkled up canes.

Yet another possibility is that those canes are dying for various reasons. old, rotted,...when this is the case, the canes are no longer green but olive or yellowish.

Is your nobile making any new shoots at the moment? do you see new roots growing? is the pot too light when lift up?

I agree with NYCorchidman as to possible causes. I can't see a picture either. You need 5 posts to upload a picture but I think you can attach one so long as its not a huge file.

Agree with above.

The only other thing I would say is that these require a winter rest, if you give that they can shrivel slightly, and you might start getting problems if you've had it more than a year and not given it a winter rest.

However the first thing to check is the roots, as said above.

Well, good to hear the good news. must be a big relief for you.

Don't worry about the wrinkly canes then. Usually old canes stay plump for many years before shriveling up but sometimes crazy things happen.
As long as roots are fine and there are new growths going, it's all good.

Dendrobium nobile is a seasonal grower and while it is growing, it requires a lot of water. but make sure drainage is perfect.
With excellent drainage, you can water it just about everyday when weather is good.
Not enough water will set back the new growths and they do not grow to their full potential.
If you use potting mix that stays moist long than a day after watering, or if the pot is quite large, then you might want to wait for a couple of days before watering again.

If you see some roots exposed on top of the potting mix, then you can mist those everyday to give extra water. and I actually mist all my orchdis at least once a day and if possible more.

Things dry up really fast in my place, especially from March to September. or even in the winter when the sun is there.

Fertilizing every week is also good but make sure you stop ANY fertilizing by the end of July.
This is very important for flowering. If you don't, then you may not see flowers next spring but lots of new growths and keikis in place of flowers.
