Leaf issues on 5 orchids!!
Exclamation Leaf issues on 5 orchids!!

everyone! I have some orchids in crisis. This is a long post with a lot of issues. I don't know why I got so many when I'm a newbie with plant care in general but I am trying. I just started with Better Orchid Food on the last watering so I'm hoping this will help.

I tried this into one nice long post but it kept denying it, so I had to split them into posts by orchid. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The first one is a dendrobium orchid and the leaves have little spots on them. It was like this when I purchased.

What does this mean? Will this spread to the other leaves? How do I fix it?

The next two were already returned, but I want to know what happened so I can prevent it on my other orchids. These two are phal's. What causes this leaf change? I know it can't be good.

This is the first cymbidium. It looked ok when I got it and it's been outside since. I read somewhere not to overwater so I only watered once a week. Then the leaves begin to look a little wonky so I did more research and found them to be semi-terrestial?? I am so confused on the conflicting info!

The last cymbidium I just bought looked this bad out of the package. It was the biggest one there, and I got a discount, but I don't know how to care for these or what to do with this plant. The leaves are really yellow and the flowers are browning on the tips.

The second photo the leaf looks badly sunburned.

That doesn't look like Dendrobium - Oncidium maybe. Can you post a pic of the plant?

If Onc. They can be prone to spots. Leaf looks quite limp. How are the roots?

Cymbidium leaves can get kinda rough looking anyhow.
Mine are outside year round though.

Semi terrestrial or not I grow mine in chunky bark.

The phal looks burnt. And I agree.. that looks like a dehydrated oncidium.

Cymbidium can take a lot of sun, and water.
Your conditions are different from mine but my cymbidium get watered every few days or so.

Cyms are usually semi terrestrial. Media should not dry out.

The brown spot in the second pic could be fungal (it happens with cyms) or just the leaf starting to die naturally. You can cut off that area.

How else do the leaves look wonky?

I don't see problems ... ? The blooms may be fading due to age or bright light or high temps ...

Yellow foliage may be from high light or leaves naturally dying back. Or possible problem with roots, but from what I see in the pix, it looks fine
