Talking New Leaf!

I repotted this fellow a little over a week ago, and he's putting out a new leaf!

This is my first new leaf!

This little Phal is the second one I bought, and I picked him up because I thought he looked really healthy. True to my hopes, he's never given me any trouble.

Wonderful! I love that feeling when you find a new leaf or growth.

As you grow with your orchids and you buy pricey or valuable plants that excitement often turns to relief when you see a new leaf! But it never stops feeling great!!

There's a fair amount of relief mixed in with the excitement already! I had previously re-potted two other orchids, and they both went downhill afterwards. One of them is nearly rootless now, and the other one is just sad looking.

I know they're supposed to sulk for a while, so I'm amazed to be getting a new leaf so soon!
