Smile my collection/window gardening

Here's my orchid collection I will be updating this post as often as I can to show you my journey with these little guys. Most of them are rescued orchids. I think they're doing okay so far. It would be nice if I can put the cymbidiums outside, but unfortunately I can't due to where I live.

Updated pic- 5/2/13 I'm out of space! New phal rescued from Lowe's!

Nice! If you have somewhere outside to put the Cym, it can stay outside from after last threat of frost in spring, until first threat of frost in autumn/winter. They do need quite a bit of light, and except for "warmth tolerant" types, need a period of cool nights to initiate spikes.

Looks like you have a nice collection going! I wish you the best of luck with your rescues- it seems like they have been loving your care!

Nice little collection, are the small phals in square ceramic pots? If so, where did you get those? (the pots)

Got these at Lowe's for my mini phalaens. They were on clearance for 10 cents each.

I like them too! I have three right now including the new one I got for my mom. I can't wait to give it to her so that I'll have more room I also like their fragrance.

I started with my windowsill back in August and I now have one of those greenhouse tents being shipped to me because I've run out of windowsills!

Nice collection by the way!

Thanks! I went on ebay and search for those tents because I will probably need one in the future

Found this-

It's $60. I take it that you have to take all of your plants inside when winter comes right?

That's what I plan on doing, I just set it up tonight and moved the orchids into it. It's still dipping into the 50's at night so I'm hoping they don't get too shocked.
