Default mouldy tree bark

Hey,

Just noticed that my freshly purchased angraecum leonis is starting to get little "hairs" on the surface of the bark. I suspect it's mould.

From what I've been reading they should not not be disturbed. Sprinkling a little cinnamon did not seem to fix it.
While the situation it is not dire, I would like to snuff the little critter in it's infancy.

Any ideas ?

PS: Thanks for all the help so far, and sorry for the million questions I have

You could trying soaking in 3% hydrogen peroxide. I expect others will have suggestions of possibly more effective products.

It may require fresh media, however...
