Default Burned Leaves?

=( I think I burned my phals' leaves. Last week I put them outside on the patio to enjoy the warm weather and one morning I noticed that their leaves had become limp, soft and mushy. I asked about it last week but nobody could tell me what it was, and now the spots that were mushy have turned black. Do I need to cut the leaves? Will they repair themselves? The leaves have not returned to their crisp, hard manner instead they are still floppy and soft. =( The edges of my larger phal's leaves (in the second section of pictures) are wrinkled all around the edges and black on some of the edges too.

What should I do? I gave them a thorough soaking, as they were completely dried out from being outside. What is wrong with them? Can I help them?

I dont think it is because of heat but could they have got too cold? Whatever it is the leaves will not repair themselves. If it is a disease of some sort( I dont think it is as it came on quickly) you should cut them back to undamaged section and put cinnamon on the cut. It is really difficult to tell from pictures. Good luck...Jean

I don't think they could have gotten too cold, the lowest it got in my house was about 65 two weeks ago (my fiance left the heat off lol), which was before this happened. This just came out of nowhere last Thursday, and the temp in my house was 70. Outside it was 88.

I think the leaves are burnt by the sun. When direct sunlight hits a leave that is not adapted because of a long dark winter, this can happen within one hour or so. The radiation can heat up the tissue.
It doesn't look good to our human eyes. But I would leave the plant in peace and not cut away anything. The plant can repair the damage with a spot of hard dead tissue surrounded by a sharp border.
I would only move the plant to a medium bright place without direct sunlight.

I have moved them back inside where they were before I placed them outside last week, and they seem to be better now, though still kind of sad. Should I cut the leaf on my small plant that has all of that black all over it? If I leave it will it rot and damage the plant?

I did not leave them outside at night. I brought them back in and the temperature in my house is 68-70 at night.
