How are my roots :)

Hello everyone! My phal is losing its flowers and about to go to sleep so indecided to do some maintance. I took a look at the root system and it was pretty bad, I had to cut away most of the deadc dry and stringy roots. i have attached a picture so show its current condition. What should my next step me to help this little one grow back roots, and how often do you need to water sleeping orchids? Thanks you
