I have b nodosa, the small leaved variety, mounted on cork, growing indoors. It has never lost a leaf due to there having been a spike being finished. When I got it it was all previously bloomed growths. I have had it in anywhere from low to high light, low to medium humidity. It has doubled in size since I got it. These guys are pretty tough, based on my experiences, and can handle growing in a wide range of conditions.

The only issue I have had with it is a spike that formed but then blasted. That may have been too little water or too low humidity for the spike.

I think its problem is either the change in environment being too drastic, too quickly OR the roots have been going away.

Check around the base of the leaf for bugs especially scale . Mine was outside then moved to the bird room no problems , I do not provide extra humidity , just water every other day (if dry) they do not like to be wet for a period of time , also un potting them will damage roots , I let mine do it's thing . Leave the pot . They do not lose the leaf after blooming . Gin

Thanks to all! I've misted (and am air drying laundry in the room), and the humidity has increased to 57%. Still haven't figured out how/where to put a fan, but am working on it!
