If your using a bark based mix make sure to let it soak for at least 24 hrs before using it.

2 New Keikis BUT?
Default bright green new and Keikis

I just finished examining her roots. She does have several nice green roots going. I think she got too dry and the heater running 24/7 didn't help here in Chgo. But now that Spring is almost here ( we still 40's 50's ) as soon as weather gets better I won't have to mist her so much. She had a lot of dry roots. I guess I was worried to over water her, so I didn't. I have been giving her fertilizer every other week during the winter months. I'm going to slow that down to once a month now. I hope I'm doing the right thing.

Yes, that's what it came with. it's a just add ice brand. They say, not to repot until 2-3 years after purchase. That's why I never repotted.

The time to reduce fertilizer is in the fall- winter months, less growth= less ferts. Once a month should do it.
Now that spring is here would be the time to increase your regime to weakly weekly as your plants resume making new growths and roots.

wow, I had it backwards? I googled and it said, that it was winter time to add fertilizer, cuz of the lack of sunshine during winter months. Oh geez.
