Default ghost orchids?

ghost orchids, click here

I've been intrigued by these guys ever since I saw that movie "Adaptation," but something tells me that they're a big pain to keep alive. I'm pretty sure I don't have the conditions to grow one, since I don't have a greenhouse, but has anyone tried? The leafless aspect would seem to create a whole new level of difficulty.

I can imagine they would be rather lame when they're not flowering too...just a buncha roots on a stick.

but...they certainly are cool looking flowers, and apparently they smell nice too.

but I'd love to hear from anyone who's tried. and if anyone wants to try, I found them for $12 at this link.

I have a couple in my grow room. They are growing new root tips but are to small to flower. I have them hanging with my other minature stuff and spray them every couple of days. Depending on how hot mt room gets. I don't let a fan blow on them .They are in very still air.
Hope this helps.

They like still air? What about lighting?
So far they sound like great terrarium candidates where bare roots can be made to look good.

Tindo,
I don't remember what I read, but there are lots of places on google that talk about what sort of conditions they need. I think people do well with them in those pretty little glass bubbles that some people sell for orchids too. I wanted one a lot but read about a lot of experts who kept killing them and I'm not ready for one yet. Until I know I have the best chance for them - if nothing else than the glass bubble lol!
