Default My blue phal is growing a leaf!!!

I know I know... It's just a leaf.. and honestly all my phals are growing leaves.

But this one just sat there for months after aborting its spike and I had no idea if it was happy enough.
But there's a leaf!
This is so exciting since this phal is one of my favorites... just love that blue color.

Some one do a victory dance with me!

We celebrate new leaves, roots , spikes with equal abandon. For me a new leaf tells me I'm doing something right. So rock on Tommy !

I always do a little happy dance when I see a new leaf, especially when the plant hasn't done anything in a long time. So, congrats!

Btw I love blue phals. What's its name?

It didn't do anything after I bought it except abort the spike!
I've been holding my breath over it for such a long time.

I can totally relate! On some, an immerging leaf is the first, most reassuring sign of hope!

CONGRATULATIONS!

I was just going to ask if it was a violacea, but that looks like a 'Kenneth Shubert' type hybrid. Either way good luck on those. If you can get new leaves on either one of those, You're doin Good!!!!! ginnibug

It does look like Kenneth Shubert hybrids.
It's a NOID though... sadly.
Thinking of naming it something stupid...

Are they harder to grow than other phals?
I didn't Google the care since I just end up confused and scared when I do lol.
