It looks like you are getting branch spikes coming from the same node as the keiki, or more likely from the base of the keiki itself. Really not all that uncommon in a Phal that easily gets branching spikes, which mostly depends on breeding. Certainly not wrong or mutant in any way. The growth rate of the keiki isn't unusual at all. Your plant is vigorous and prolific. Relax and enjoy.

I am very happy to hear that. I was worried because this plant seems like is going crazy. It has not stop blooming since last June . After 3 and 1/2 month blooming period it grew new branches and flowers and again and again. It 's vigorous. Even a beginner like me can see that. But right now it is growing new leaf, new roots, this keiki and a new branch on it's other stem full of nodes.None of my phals has done such a thing and I care all of them in the same way. So something makes this plant different and this is not the light, or the water, or the fertilizer. I 'll follow your advice and I'' ll trust your experience. I ' m going to enjoy it !!

Yeah, some plants just have 'it'. Make them happy and they'll reward you every day. Just make sure to keep giving in the same good care. Don't get complacent about good light or regular fertilizer, and especially don't hesitate to re-pot on a regular schedule or whenever it needs it. High performing orchids can go downhill fast when people slack off on care or don't re-pot because they're always in bud/flower or growing fast. I think that's the biggest factor in the 'bloomed itself to death' myth.

I woke up this morning and what did I see ?
My keiki bloomed. Only one flower because the other bud wilted when it was still very small, but the result is really spectacular ( well at least for me it is )
As I promised to all of you here it is

I wish you the best for your keikis. Mine is too young to be repotted, it's only two months old and has no roots. As it seems the mother plant hasn't decided yet if she wants to be a mother or if she wants to be an efflorescent young lady.
Of course I'll keep you updated because as I noticed a few minutes ago, this "crazy" keiki is up to something. There is a new growth between the leaves, it's too tiny to see what it is, but I'm sure is something new.Anyway whatever it is I'm going to love it.

my Keikis don't have roots yet but soon Hey keep an eye on that gorwth between the leaves. I can't wait to see or hear from you what it is since I think it's a new stem. Those grow between leaves. So keep us updated.
