Sorry for the long title. Basically my best friends mom had a keiki growing from one of her phals i was surprised! so i told my friend i'm taking it lol.
The phal looks so so.. her mom doesn't take very good care of them and I don't know what kind it is. Anyway.. I wont be home for at least a couple of days and her mom doesn't have sphagum moss or anything, how can i keep it alive until i get home?
Picture of it now and the flower from the parent plant.

I don't know what items you have at your disposal, but you're going to want to do everything you can to keep the roots moistened. It's OK if they dry out a bit, but you want to prevent the leaves from wilting. Maybe use the container you show in the picture, place a moist - not sopping - napkin or paper towel in the bottom. That'll keep the air around the keiki's roots very humid. That's about the best you can do.

I agree with Tim. Being gone for a few days should be OK as long as the roots have some moisture; looks like good roots so far. Keep the leaves and crown dry though.
