Hello everyone!
First of all let me say a big THANK YOU to all of you for your great help. I've learned a lot here in this thread, and even more on this forum.
The last of the three blooms on my Phal is beginning to close, it will fall off in a couple of days, but I am now sure it's this crazy weather: there are 3 more buds on the same plant, which all seem well and are not trying to open yet, and also 5 buds on the other Phal, also not even considering opening themselves yet, so I guess it must be the weather. It got very warm for a week (too warm for this time of year) and I guess that drove the buds to open, but when it came down to below freezing again, the nature did it's course.
I also placed skewers like suggested, and I check them regularly. I noticed they are dry on the top third of the pot, but are moist on the bottom 2 thirds, so I decided to wait with submerging for a few days. I still spray them on leaves and on top of the bark in the pot every morning, so from what I've gathered it should be OK.
So, again, thank you all for all the help!
