Phal roots rotting at crown

Hi all, I have a question about the roots of my phalaenopsis. It's a young plant that has been putting out rather good growth during the past half year or so.

I want to ask about the roots, which seem to be rotting at the crown. They appear green and growing further down.
Other than that, the rest of the plant seems healthy (its putting out new roots and leaves)

Its planted in loose sphagnum (I don't overwater it) and recieves good light. I use tap water and haven't fertilised it for 2 or so months.

Is this a problem and if so, how can I fix it?

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to your root problem. However, I am having something similar happening and would also like to know what's going on. I'm glad you asked about this! I hope we can figure it out.
