Good luck with your phals. There are so many fun orchids out there!
One of the perks of living in LA is that there are many, many, many different orchid growers. I got my catt and B. nodosa from a grower here, and there's a big orchid show every July.

We have several shows in the area but they are likely much smaller than what you have. I do quite a bit of online ordering. I have a brassavola nodosa and brassavola Little Stars. I love that night fragrance.
I don't grow cymbidiums so can't help you there.

Generally speaking, many Cymbidiums are cool to intermediate growing, and likes lots of light. Provide the most amount of indirect light you can give them and they will thrive.

Many Cymbidiums are semi-terrestrials, some are epiphytes.

A few Cymbidiums are intermediate to warm growing.

So bears the question...

What kinds of Cymbidiums are you talking about?
