One of my Cattleyas have a crazy root 14 inches long . It looks so healty and the tip look like it will not stop soon from growing. How I am suppose to take care of it?
Looks happy without any special attention! When I have significant aerial roots, I just spray them with water when I am watering the plant. Remember, it's just one root, even if it were to die, it shouldn't be an issue as long as there are healthy roots in the pot.
That's a crazy root all right, but not unusual. I have a Pot with wild roots--mine are growing horizontally through the slits in the plastic pot though, makes it a little challenging to water, but like Sonya says, I daily mist the roots. My craziest roots are from my Phals!
